Zhang Liping, a renowned vocal artist active in top international opera houses, has taken center stage at prestigious venues such as the Royal Opera House, the Metropolitan Opera, the Bavarian State Opera, the Opéra de Paris, and the National Centre for the Performing Arts in China. She has played leading roles in operas like La Traviata (Violetta), La Bohème (Mimì), Lucia di Lammermoor (Lucia), Turandot (Liu) and Rigoletto (Gilda). As the first and only Chinese pillar at the Royal Opera House, she led in acclaimed productions including Tosca, Madama Butterfly and Carmen.
