On the morning of Feb 24, the Mangshi 2024 Munaozongge Festival kicked off in Mangshi, Dehong Dai and Jingpo autonomous prefecture, Yunnan province. With the lively beat of drums, people from various ethnic groups, adorned in festive attire, danced to the rhythmic beats, creating a vibrant spectacle. Approximately 40,000 participants celebrated the festival with great enthusiasm.
Meaning a joyful gathering of song and dance in Jingpo language, Munaozongge is a traditional ethnic festival of the Jingpo people.
