Archaeological ruin from the pre-Qin period found in Suzhou

At the Nanzhang archeological site in Wuzhong district, Suzhou, Jiangsu province, a total of 41 ruins have been discovered and 49 relics including primitive ceramics, and inscribed pottery were unearthed. Among the ruins, an Eastern Zhou Dynasty (770-256 BC) earthen mound tomb is particularly significant, actually containing two tombs and an ash pit.
This archaeological excavation verifies the credibility of previous finds, and further supplements present knowledge about the distribution of pre-Qin period culture in the local area. It also provides new materials for the research on earthen mound tombs in Suzhou.
