The games included robot soccer, water rocket target shooting and a paper bridge weight-bearing event.

The whole affair was described as a great success and teachers expressed their desire for more of such competitions to be held in the future.

Tao Chenxuan, a fourth-grade student from Tunxi Longshan Experimental Primary School, shared her experience of participating in a water rocket target shooting competition.

Tao said that by personally constructing and launching the rocket, she gained practical knowledge in installations, launches, distance measurements and the importance of paying attention to every detail to achieve a perfect outcome. Tao said that this embodied the scientific spirit.

Academician Shi Yunyu from the Chinese Academy of Sciences also gave a lecture on exploring the mysteries of life systems at the science and technology museum on May 27.
