Huangshan holds tribute chrysanthemum industry conference

The 2022 Huangshan tribute chrysanthemum industry development conference was held in Shexian county, administered by Huangshan city in Anhui province, on Nov 22.

As one of the four famous chrysanthemums in China, the Huangshan tribute chrysanthemum has both ornamental value and medicinal functions and is reputed to be the best medicinal product.

The city plants chrysanthemums in an area covering 93,000 mu (6,200 hectares) which generated  output value of 1.23 billion yuan ($174.39 million) in 2021. The tribute chrysanthemum industry has greatly contributed to local rural revitalization and increased the incomes of farmers.

At the conference, Shexian county was given the title of Anhui Modern Agricultural Demonstration Park (Huangshan tribute chrysanthemum).

An executive of Alibaba Group gave a presentation on how digitalization could help vitalize the industry and released Huangshan tribute chrysanthemum IP.

In addition, 10 related projects were signed up at the conference with a total investment of 250 million yuan.
