The new dance piece draws music and dance elements from Tibetan ethnic group since it portrays a story from the Tibet autonomous region against the backdrop of celebrating the 70th anniversary of the peaceful liberation of Tibet.
According to Jin Miaomiao, director of the dance piece, who is also the deputy director of Chinese folk dance department of Beijing Dance Academy, the dance piece maintains the tradition of the university, which is rooted in Chinese folk dance.
