The Sword of Goujian, king of the ancient Yue state, is one of the most noteworthy artifacts in the Hubei Provincial Museum.
Dating back 2,500 years, the hegemon Goujian (r. 496-465 BC) used this shining and rust-free bronze sword to annex the territory of his rivals after twenty years' of humiliation. With exquisite craftsmanship, it is reputed as "the top sword in the world."
